USA International Raceway of Shawano, Wisconsin and the Marathon Off-Road ATV/Motorcycle Club of Wausau, Wisconsin announce today a partnership to bring Motocross to the world famous Central Wisconsin racing facility.

Located between Green Bay and Wausau on Hiway 29, USA International is one of the premier Kart racing venues in North America.  The raceway was designed by Kenny Venberg, who is vice president of the World Karting Association (WKA).  With the addition of professional Supermoto Motorcycle races, USA International has become one of the finest Supermoto tracks in the world having hosted two American Motorcyclist Association Supermoto National events, featuring championship riders like Doug Henry, Jeff Ward, Kurt Nicoll, Jurgen Kunzel and Troy Herfoss.   Supermoto is a form of Motorcycle racing that incorporates the best of Road Racing and off-road Motocross, and the USAIR Supermoto “dirt section” is where Marathon Off-Road will go to work.

Marathon Off-Road ATV/Motorcycle Club has been promoting AMA Sanctioned and “Outlaw” motocross events in Central Wisconsin since 2000 – both at stadium venues and outdoor competition areas, including the Wisconsin State Quad Championship.  Starting with the summer of 2008 Marathon Off-Road will be promoting AMA and non-sanctioned Motocross events at USAIR.  The Motocross portion of the 7-day a week racing facility will also be open for unlimited practice.  MOR is also pleased to announce that in September of 2008 the Wisconsin State Quad Championship will find a new home at the Shawano track.

Racers new to the USAIR facility will find it nothing like they’ve seen before!  Transponder (lap time) scoring, amusement park amenities, blacktop pits, showers and a swimming pool!  Not to mention several smaller Go-Kart tracks and the full-on excitement of the mile+ long Pro Kart Track.  And all of this just on the edge of the Shawano city limits with hotels, chain restaurants and services almost within walking distance.
